In Florida, reports of "suspicious" windshield replacements are going through the roof. Why? Windshield cracks can be dangerous – especially when that crack is on the windshield of an airplane.

In Charlotte NC, a small US Airways flight carrying 14 passengers and 3 crew members had to make an emergency landing because there was a crack in the windshield of the plane. No one was hurt and the plane has been taken out of service, but I bet that was a pretty scary flight for the passengers…and crew! Full story is here.

Wow, I just read this article at gather.com and I am amazed. According to the news article, a man jumped and fell 40 stories … and then fell THRU a windshield…..and he survived! Now, he's in rough shape (broken legs and other injuries), but he lived. To me, that is a miracle! The guy who owned the Dodge Charger windshield feels sure that the only reason the jumper survived is because of the rosary beads he had in his car. I'm thinking the Dodge Charger owner will be looking for a windshield repair soon
